| Have you ever been out and about when your phone suddenly dies? Many americans reach for their cell phone’s car charger for a power boost. This is okay as long as your phone is not charged too long. To save your battery from death and save your phone from becoming fried, we recommend charging in a vehicle be limited to 20 minute intervals. 20 minutes charging followed by 20 minutes cool down, then repeat. Most vehicles are an unregulated power source meaning if you push on the gas more power is created while if you let off the gas less power is created. This fluctuation of power can cause batteries to bloat/die and/or paths on the motherboard to burn up. Alternating on charge and then off charge allows your device time to cool down. |
